Take HEART: HEALING from EMOTIONAL ANGER AND RELATIONAL TRAUMA and regain control over trauma from your emotions, anger or another.


ABOUT THIS GROUP

In this eight-week virtual group, we will focus on letting go, forgiveness and gratitude in healing.


Details:

When: Wednesday evenings September 4 – September 25, 2024.


Time: 7:30 – 8:45 pm ET. Certificate awarded after completing sessions.


Where: On Zoom. You will receive the link upon registration.


Cost is $40.00 for the entire 4-week course.

Scholarships are available based on financial need.

Successful Parenting with FamilyKind (SPF)virtual small-group class Fall 2024 registration is now open!




ABOUT THIS PROGRAM


The Successful Parenting with FamilyKind (SPF) Program offers high-quality parenting education that addresses the specific needs of diverse populations within the community. SPF is culturally responsive, takes a 2-generational holistic approach, provides research-based and evidence-informed knowledge, skills, and ongoing support to empower families.



ABOUT THE CLASSES


In September we are excited to be offering two early childhood classes and a class for parents of children ages 10-12! We offer small group size classes which allows for more individualized attention for all participants. Parenting groups meet online weekly with 8 sessions for each series.



CLASS DATES:


Our Monday 12:00-1:00PM ET class is for families with newborns to 2 year old children. This class is designed to support families with the beginning stages of their child's life. Families will learn how to create a warm, nurturing environment in which their children can thrive. ​

  • Monday classes: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18  



 

Our Thursday 12:00-1:00PM ET class is for families with 3 to 5 year old children. This class is designed to support families with the preschool stages. Families will learn how to navigate these explorative years and provide an environment in which their children are able to grow and flourish.  

  • Thursday classes: 9/19, 9/26, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21



 

Our Saturday 11AM – 12PM ET class is designed for families with children ages 10 to 12 years old.  


Saturday classes: 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9

Let Divorce be an Opportunity for Growth in this Community Retreat

Spots are still available for our next ACOD Adult Children of Divorce Group starting October 7!


FamilyKind has formed ACOD groups to help identify and increase awareness of the impact of divorce on adult children. The committee was created to provide resources and programs that foster resilience and recognition of those impacts in order to empower adult children of divorce.  We offer support groups throughout the year.


Group Time: 

5:30-7:00 PM for 6 weeks.

Group Dates:

1st session: 10/7/24 2nd session: 10/14/243rd session: 10/21/24 4th session: 10/28/24 5th session 11/4/24 (Skip 11/11/24 for Veterans Day) 6th session: 11/18/24

Mediation Mentorship Program is Accepting Applications

About the Mediation Mentorship Program

FamilyKind hosts the FamilyKind Mediation Mentorship Program (MMP), an intensive training designed to give mediators the tools and support they need to open a private practice and to provide high-quality mediation services throughout New York State.


Each participant will be paired with a highly qualified Mentor and will also be part of an enriched educational and hands-on practical environment.

FamilyKind's Parenting Education and Awareness Program (PEAP) is a NYS-certified co-parenting class.


Join our live zoom Parent Education and Awareness Program (NYS Certified Parent Education Class)

Below please find the schedule of our upcoming live in-person and virtual classes:


  • Can be taken on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone

  • For divorcing, separating and never-married parents

  • Certificates of Completion awarded

  • Effective strategies to use with co-parents and children

  • All Classes are from 9 AM to 2 PM EST.
