Extensive, well-documented research shows that providing education for separating families can greatly increase the positive outcomes for children.
The FamilyKind program includes a one-time four-and-one-half hour session for adults and a separate but concurrent one-time three-hour session for children and teens. Parents attend at separate times.
FamilyKind is a Certified Provider for the New York State Parent Education & Awareness Program.
Adults. Divorce and separation classes for adults are designed to help parents understand and meet the challenges they and their children face. Educators provide both practical information and effective coping strategies.

Children and Teens. NYC Classes for children and teens equip young people with the tools they need to cope as well as promote positive social and emotional well-being at a time of family conflict and change. Children appreciate the facts, and sharing their concerns with others in a similar situation is a liberating and empowering experience.
FamilyKind is based in New York City. Most classes are held at convenient locations near public transportation on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Brooklyn, or the Bronx.
